The 43rd edition of the G7 will take place from 26 to 27 May in the Sicilian city of Taormina (Italy), under Italian presidency. <\/span><\/p>\n

The European Union, who is a full member of the G7 (and the G20), will be jointly represented by the President of the European Commission and the President of the European Council.<\/span><\/p>\n

Under the motto \u201cbuilding the foundations of renewed trust\u201d, the Italian presidency will focus mainly on citizen safety; economic, environmental and social sustainability and reduction of inequalities; and innovation, skills and labour in the age of the next production revolution.<\/span><\/p>\n

The G7 summit is a forum that plays an important role in shaping global responses to global challenges, complementing the global economic coordination carried out by the G20. <\/span><\/p>\n

Last year’s G7 summit was held in Ise-Shima (Japan) under Japanese presidency. <\/span><\/p>\n

In accordance with the rotating presidency of the G7, next summits will be held in Canada (2018), France (2019), and the USA (2020).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
