Three different transactions are completed in two countries which benefit from the support of the european fund for strategic investments.<\/h5>\n
In Italy, the european investment bank has agreed to provide a \u20ac300 million loan to Italian company Italgas to improve the efficiency of gas distribution networks through the rollout of smart gas meters.<\/h5>\n
The european investment fund has signed two agreements in Bulgaria which will allow Raiffeisenbank to provide a total of \u20ac150 million worth of loans or leases to over 2,600 bulgarian small and medium-sized enterprises.<\/h5>\n
Commenting on the bulgarian transaction, european vice-President, responsible for jobs, growth, investment and competitiveness, said:<\/h5>\n
\u201cToday’s agreements are excellent news for bulgarian small businesses and demonstrates the<\/em>
\n european Commission’s determination to reach out to small businesses all over Europe.<\/em><\/h5>\n
\u20ac 150 million is a substantial amount of money that will directly help the small businesses in need of financing, thus creating additional jobs and growth in Bulgaria.<\/em><\/h5>\n
