{"id":1912,"date":"2023-06-27T18:43:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-27T16:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondazionekian.com\/?page_id=1912"},"modified":"2026-08-12T20:56:19","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T18:56:19","slug":"sustainability-from-europe-to-community-and-around","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fondazionekian.com\/?page_id=1912&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Sustainability from Europe to Community and around"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>2022-1-IT02-KA122-ADU-000073955<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 21 to 27 June 2023, Ki An Asbl hosted a delegation of five staff members from the Italian no-profit organisation Ten for Sustainability in Brussels to take part in the structured training course &#8220;Sustainability from Europe to Community and around&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training was part of a mobility project for staff in adult education, aimed at supporting the personal and professional development of Ten for sustainability&#8217;s staff andd strengthening the quality and impact of its traning and awareness-raising activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mobility project, which ran from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023, focused on developing a stronger European perspective on sustainability and lifelong learning. The training encouraged participants to connect local actions with the wider European context, approach social and personal challenges from a European perspective, and strengthen awareness of the importance of unity and solidarity in addressing common challenges such as climate change and its impacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A key part of the learning experience was the opportunity to visit several important European Institutions and landmarks in Brussels, including the Parliamentarium, the European Parliament, the House of European History, the Citizens&#8217; Garden, the Berlin Wall and Station Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These visits provided participants with first-hand insight into the European Institutions, their functioning and their role in shaping the European environmental sustainability agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mobility project was an enriching opportunity for the Ten for Sustainability&#8217;s staff to gain new knowledge, exchange perspectives and strengthen their European competences.
